Case Studies

Project write-ups for applied data, AI research, and coursework. Each case study should make the work easy to scan: problem, role, methods, artifact, and next step.

Case Study Template

Use this structure when adding future projects:

  • Context: who the work served and why it mattered.
  • Role: what Tram owned directly.
  • Question: the decision, model behavior, or pattern being investigated.
  • Data and tools: datasets, libraries, notebooks, dashboards, or systems used.
  • Approach: the analysis, experiment, or build steps.
  • Artifact: chart, dashboard, report, notebook, prototype, or public link.
  • Result: what changed, what was clarified, or what became possible.
  • Next step: what would make the project stronger with more time.

Example Placeholder: Healthcare Utilization Dashboard

Context: a data visualization project focused on making utilization patterns easier to compare across patient groups, time periods, or locations.

Possible artifacts:

  • Tableau dashboard screenshot.
  • One paragraph explaining the main design choice.
  • A short methods note on cleaning, grouping, and validating the data.

Example Placeholder: Water Quality Modeling

Context: a geospatial analysis project using environmental data to understand risk patterns and communicate uncertainty.

Possible artifacts:

  • Map or model-output image.
  • Feature list and model evaluation summary.
  • Plain-language explanation of what the model should and should not be used for.
